I completed my training as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in 2003 with the Arbours Association in North London. Subsequently, I have trained extensively in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, an approach which integrates cognitive-behavioural therapy with mindfulness-based approaches. I am a registered mindfulness teacher having studied at the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice (CMRP) in Bangor to post-graduate level.

I have a 16 year history working in the NHS and in private practice. I currently work as the senior psychological therapist with the Pain Service at Broomfield Hospital in Essex. I also lead the service’s multi-disciplinary Pain Management Programme.

This site offers an introduction to my work as a psychotherapist and as a mindfulness-based meditation teacher. If you are considering therapy or looking for a mindfulness-based stress reduction course, please read on for more details of my approach to therapy and to meditation.
