Since 2014, I have specialised in the psychology of chronic pain management. I am currently the senior psychological therapist in the Pain Service at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. As a service, we run a multidisciplinary Pain Management Programme. This brings together the expertise of a wide range of professionals, from doctors, physiotherapists and psychologists through to mindfulness meditation practitioners and yoga teachers. As a team, we benefit from the most up-to-date research on chronic pain and its management. This evidence-based approach, coupled with the insights of highly skilled physical therapists and medical practitioners, informs the work that I do both within the NHS and as a private therapist.
I offer training in the area of the psychology of pain management. Please contact me for further details.
